ROTC Leadership School 6/21/06 |
| NEARC was asked to make a presentation about R/C modeling for the Air Force Junior ROTC Summer Leadership School. 250 cadets were present from Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. Bob Mims gave a talk about the benefits of modeling and how the skills involved are applicable to other areas of life and work. James McPherson and Mark Townsend gave technical information about the planes and helicopters they were about to fly and then spent about 30 minutes putting on an awesome display of small field flying. The cadets loved it and there was time for them to visit with Bob, James, Mark, Ellis, Sha, and Randy after flying to view the many planes on display and ask questions about R/C flying. |
