NEARC held its first training day on Saturday, May 19th at 1:00.  Participants were given a short talk on the basics of flight, what each control surface does and the corresponding transmitter control.  Next they were given time on one of the simulators set up on laptop computers.  After 15-20 minutes on the simulator we moved them to a trainer with a trainer cord.  In between flights they had the chance to move back to the simulators and get more practice.  We had the opportunity to get four guys on trainer cords for several flights each.
